About Us

You may not have heard of Bapcor, but you will know our brands. We’re Asia Pacific's leading provider of vehicle parts, accessories, equipment, service and solutions and – through our businesses like Burson, Autobarn, Midas, Truckline and Baxters – are inside cars, on four-wheel drives and all over trucks.

We span the end-to-end aftermarket supply chain with nearly 1,000 stores across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Our 5,500 team members are serious about safety, inclusion, diversity and building your specialist knowledge and capability to help us be there for what matter most for our teams and our customers.

About the Role

In partnership with the Payroll Manager, you will guide and support a diverse team of 6 individuals, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, customer-focused services. Your responsibilities will include enhancing the day-to-day employee experience and overseeing transactional P&C activities. By fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment, you will help create a unified "one Bapcor" experience that supports and values every member of our business.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·       Driving the strategy and operational planning processes within your team

·       Continuously reviewing and improving the service to People Leaders and Team Members, developing appropriate structures, systems and processes to do so

·       Supporting the design, delivery and implementation of P&C support services roadmap, frameworks, systems and processes that better manage P&C activities and strengthen productivity

·       Developing ways of working with Payroll and the broader P&C team, ensuring a consistent approach and clarity for the People Services and Payroll team to deliver a high level of experience to team members

·       Managing the resolution of complex or multi-dimensional employee relations issues, ensuring appropriate consultation and communication with relevant stakeholders

·       Overseeing the management of frameworks, systems and processes for P&C transactional employee services including recruitment, onboarding, workforce data and reporting, technical training and compliance, and industrial and employee relations.

·       Working in collaboration with other subject matter experts within the People and Culture team, manage the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of business processes and strategic programs including performance management, leadership development, learning and development, recruitment, annual/scheduled compliance activities and related programs on a consistent basis.

·       In conjunction with the P&C Leadership Team, develop, prepare and manage HR metrics and reporting to develop insights on people issues that improve results at an organisational level.

About you

Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in HR, and demonstrable experience within people services and people operations within P&C, from within a complex structured organisation. You have expertise of leading teams and organisations through change and an in-depth understanding of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to human resources management issues.

You are innovative yet practical, adept at aligning human resource management (HRM) policies, standards, and guidelines with the strategic direction and desired outcomes of the organization.

As a people leader, you bring a hands-on approach to your work, complemented by outstanding communication and presentation skills. You excel in influencing and negotiating at all levels, both internally and externally, to drive results. With a keen attention to detail and commercial acumen, you build strong relationships across the business. Your problem-solving and analytical mindset allows you to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments, even when faced with ambiguity.
