We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Accountant to join our Finance team based in Sydney.

About the opportunity

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for handling tax compliance, tax planning, and tax reporting for ISPT’s internal operations. This role will work closely with the Senior Tax Manager and the broader finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax filings, minimize tax liabilities, and comply with tax laws and regulations. 

Other tasks will include:

·       Prepare/review accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, corporate tax, sales tax, property tax, and other applicable taxes, in conjunction with external agent.

·       Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.

·       Support the Senior Tax Manager in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize the organisation's tax liability while maximizing tax benefits and incentives.


About you

As an experienced tax accountant, you are adept at managing the compliance obligations of an organisation and mitigating risks, whilst also staying abreast of changes to tax legislation and broader industry trends. In addition to compliance work, you will have a broader interest in tax strategy and the positive impact that can be made to business transactions.

·       CA or CPA qualified

·       Experience in tax accounting, preferably in property or real estate taxation.

·       Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling with expertise in Microsoft Excel

·       Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax guidance.
